Plastic figures unlock play sets, and Disney Infinity is Avalanche Software's toys-to-life sandbox built around that swap. The Toy Box ignores the play set's mission and lets a figure from another film knock the props around.
A character from one film can enter another's world once the base reads the figure. The Toy Box lets players scatter those licensed pieces into a homemade scene instead of following only the packaged mission.
The 2013 lineup included a motion-console build, a successor-console build, and a separate handheld game. That pocket version is not the home sandbox squeezed smaller; it is its own figure-driven product.
