Blanks, tables, and a gun that should not exist fill Enter the Gungeon. Dodge Roll's bullet-hell roguelike, published by Devolver Digital in 2016, is set in a dungeon whose entire ecology is firearms.
The Marine, the Convict, the Hunter, and the Pilot start with different kits, then lose the run to a Bullet King or a rolling shotgun shell. A blank clears the screen of bullets, which is often worth more than the gun that fired them.
Each descent randomizes the chests. Dying spends the run, and the next trip into the Gungeon starts from the breach with whatever knowledge the player kept and the character did not.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
