History

Several masked killers, not one Jacket, split the timeline in Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number. Dennaton's top-down sequel arrived in 2015, larger and more divisive than the 2012 original.

A door kick, a melee finish, and a level that fails the moment a bullet touches the body remain the rules. The sequel adds playable fans, soldiers, and a story that argues about the first game's violence instead of only repeating the calls.

The 2012 original is the tighter fever dream. Wrong Number is the argumentative follow-up, more characters and less agreement about whether the series should have continued.
