History

Europe is the front again in Medal of Honor: European Assault. EA returned the series to that theater in 2005, after the Pacific-set Rising Sun, and the missions move through several famous operations rather than one harbor.

A squad can be ordered to cover a street, and the player's soldier still carries the series' first-person rifle. The subtitle's "assault" is the pace: several landings and pushes instead of Rising Sun's ocean war.

Rising Sun had been the Pacific detour. European Assault puts the medal back among hedgerows, rivers, and the western campaign's set pieces.
