Midway enlarged the roster and kept the exaggerated boxing in Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2 with a louder undercard. The sequel arrived in 2000, and the Nintendo 64 version continues those cartoon bouts with new faces beside Afro Thunder.
The rumble meter and the taunts return, now with more boxers who do not resemble a sanctioned athlete. A letter-graded special still breaks a realistic jab-cross pattern on purpose.
Round 2 is the larger card, not a balance patch alone. New challengers, the same rubbery punches, and the Nintendo 64 ring are the sequel.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
