The same crowd combat returns with a newer look in Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter, Croteam's remaster of the wave shooter. Headless bombers still charge, the fight design stays put, and the refreshed version is the 2009 release later on Nintendo Switch.
Arena layouts remain the original encounters. What changes is how clearly those hordes read.
Croteam updated the first episode rather than writing a new one. The HD set is a visual pass over that same scream of bombers.
