Nico Collard gets a playable chapter in Broken Sword 1 - Shadow of the Templars (The Director's Cut), Revolution's 2009 remake of the 1996 adventure. A Paris cafe bombing still starts George Stobbart's case, and the new chapter lets Nico investigate before the American tourist arrives.
Motion-console and dual-screen releases use that expanded script, with painted scenes updated from the original's pixels. Templars, a manuscript, and the Syrian sites remain the spine of George's trip.
The 1996 game is the first telling. This director's cut is the remake that adds Nico's chapter and asks both consoles to carry the longer script.
