History

Beam struggles and a saga recap open the 3D era in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai. Dimps started its long line of anime fighters with this 2002 game, covering the show's fights from the Saiyan arrival through later enemies.

Goku, Vegeta, and a capsule system for building a move list give the roster more than a single special. Story mode follows the anime's duels, while a versus match ignores the plot and just charges a blast.

Later Budokai sequels added more of the cast and flashier team attacks. This first one is the Dimps model: 3D arena, anime story, and a custom set of techniques.
