Seedlings join up while an oasis grows shop by shop in Ever Oasis, the 2017 action role-playing game Grezzo made for Nintendo with producer Koichi Ishii. Ruins wait in the desert past the water you are raising. Grezzo built it late for that hardware, out of the circle around the Mana series producer.
Residents you bring home open stalls, and those stalls supply gardens, gear, and reasons to come back between ruins. Seedlings of several races carry traversal tricks a sealed room may require. The lead fights in real time with whichever weapon was chosen for the trip.
Water, happiness, and the spread of shops change how lively the settlement feels. A ruin tends to end on a boss that wants the seedlings' skills as much as raw hits. Leaving a room unfinished often means a resident, or the stall they would have run, is still missing at home.
Ishii produced the project, Grezzo developed it, and Nintendo published it. Raising the settlement and pushing farther across the sand are a single aim, since each new resident makes the next ruin easier to clear.
