Paint changes how the ground behaves, and Nihilumbra is BeautiFun Games' puzzle-platformer about coloring a path out of the Void. Born's paint supply runs out, so an ice path cannot cover every tile the Void is chasing across.
One pigment makes ice, another makes a trampoline, and a third can stop a pursuer. Born flees that darkness by painting only a short stretch at a time, because the supply is limited.
The mobile original later reached the successor console in 2012, pigments included. Mixing the wrong color under a jump is enough to end Born's escape.
