History

Junpei wears a numbered bracelet aboard a sinking ship in Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors. Chunsoft's escape-room puzzles branch into endings that take more than one play, and the DS original of the Zero Escape series is from 2009.

Digital roots on the bracelets decide which numbered door a pair may open, and the bottom screen holds the puzzle while the top holds the room. Zero's Nonary Game forces the nine captives through those doors before the hull fails.

One ending does not show the whole diagram, so a second route rewrites what the first route seemed to prove. This is the DS original of Zero Escape, before Virtue's Last Reward and Zero Time Dilemma.
