History
Edward Carnby returns in Infogrames' Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, a survival-horror sequel. The Game Boy Color edition is its own flat game, apart from the console release, and the sequel dates to 2001.
A flashlight beam and scarce ammo define Carnby's search through a shadowed mansion. Aline Cedrac investigates the same grounds on a parallel route in the fuller version of the story.
The console release uses three-dimensional rooms. The Game Boy Color cart retells the nightmare as a separate two-dimensional trek.
