History

Suited agents fix a stranger's crisis by hitting marks in Elite Beat Agents. iNiS built touch-screen rhythm scenes where a song's beats are the only way the story moves, from a ballroom panic to a sports meltdown.

Nintendo published the Western sibling of Ouendan on DS in 2006. The Commander's bark drops if the marker is missed. The Commander barks orders, the agents dive in sunglasses, and a missed marker drops the crowd's morale until the number fails.

Ouendan remains the Japanese predecessor with its own soundtrack. Elite Beat Agents is the localization's scenario, not a menu of the same songs.
