History

Probe mounted weapons on futuristic motorcycles for Extreme-G, and Acclaim published the Nintendo 64 racer in 1997 already. A boost, a mine, and a laser share the handlebars, and sequels on the same console followed this first grid.

The track is a tube of neon and tunnels, not a dirt circuit. Falling off the racing line into a wall at that speed is the usual retirement.

It is the first of those weaponized bike games from Probe and Acclaim. The later Extreme-G sequels add riders and tracks; this one is the original armed grid.
