History

LucasArts sent Indiana Jones after a Soviet dig in Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, a 3D adventure that debuted on PC. The Infernal Machine is the artifact at the center of the chase, and the levels are tombs and jungle bases rather than a menu of fistfights.

A Nintendo 64 port arrived in 2000 already. Whips, revolvers, and climbable ledges carry over, with the compromises of a cartridge controlling a PC-born camera.

It is not one of the earlier Last Crusade games. Those older Grail adventures are different works; this one is the machine, the Soviet rivalry, and the 3D tombs.
