History
Ginger's pie-machine escape is the plot of Chicken Run, the 2000 tie-in to Aardman's stop-motion film. Mrs. Tweedy's farm is a prison, Rocky is the circus rooster who claims he can fly, and the chickens are building a way out.
Stealth, fetching parts, and avoiding dog and human patrols fit a story about a breakout rather than a straight brawl. The clay look of the movie is the reference point: huts, fences, and the dreadful machine in the barn.
Aardman's chickens are not cartoon birds in a generic yard. The tie-in keeps Tweedy's farm, the coop, and the plan to leave before anyone becomes a pie.
