Pearl Harbor opens the campaign in Medal of Honor: Rising Sun. EA moved the series from Europe to the Pacific theater in 2003, so the first mission is a battleship morning rather than a French hedgerow.
The Philippines, a raid involving a carrier, and a Pacific island assault follow that harbor for the Marine at the center of the story. Period weapons and a squadmate replace the European towns of the earlier medals.
Rising Sun's theater change is the point of the subtitle. Europe had been the default front; this entry starts at the harbor and stays in the Pacific.
