Four wizards share one television in Micro Mages, Morphcat Games' new NES platformer made for the original hardware. It is not a remake of an older hit, and the cartridge was built in 2019 to run on the console itself.
Each wizard fits in a handful of pixels so four players can occupy the same single screen. Spells and jumps have to be readable at that size, which is the trick the board was rarely asked to do.
Morphcat shipped it as a contemporary game on an old connector, not as a reissue with a new label. The shared screen, the four mages, and the new stages are the whole point of the cart.
