History

Falling warheads threaten six cities in Missile Command, Dave Theurer's arcade defense with a limited stock of interceptors. Atari's trackball cabinet from 1980 is the famous version, and a Game Boy release years later remains a port of that cabinet.

Six cities sit under a cursor, and every interceptor spent is gone for good. A warhead that splits over a skyline costs more shots than a single trail.

The trackball and the city silhouettes belong to Atari's machine. The Game Boy edition reprints that defense on a d-pad.
