Globox returns to a side-scrolling brawl in Rayman Origins, the 2011 platformer Ubisoft Montpellier made playable with up to four characters. Michel Ancel's team painted the Glade again after years of 3D entries, and a second, third, and fourth hero can pile onto the same screen.
Teensies need rescuing, mosquitoes swarm, and the slapstick is the combat. Motion-console and glasses-free handheld releases both received that painted adventure, so the four-player idea is not locked to one living-room machine.
Origins is the side-scrolling return, not Rayman 3's lock-on shooter. The painted levels and the pile-on of friends are the whole offer.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
The series list above is the whole family set in this catalog.
