History

A steel ball and legal injuries define Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe, the Bitmap Brothers' armored Amiga sequel to Speedball. Ports spread it far beyond that computer after a debut in 1990.

A steel ball thrown into a high goal scores more than a simple carry, and injuring a rival is legal. A bribe between matches can buy a star or sabotage the other side.

The first Speedball set the armored rules. Brutal Deluxe, with its metal pitch, is the sequel those ports carried to consoles and handhelds.
