History
A badge and a bad temper share Nick Kang's car in True Crime: Streets of LA. Luxoflux's 2003 open-world game sets the cop in Los Angeles, with a meter that tracks whether he stays clean while the case pulls him through the city.
Driving, shooting, and a street fight are all legal ways to reach the next informant. The good-cop meter is the distinctive rule: brutality closes doors that a cleaner arrest would open.
Later True Crime moved the badge to another city. This first one is Kang, Los Angeles, and the meter that judges the drive over.
