Helper drones, collected between stages, add fire the lone robot cannot produce alone. The field fills with hostile machines, and survival is a circle-strafe while the helpers cover a flank.
The computer original dates to 2005, long before the living-room port. The fantasy is still the last unit in a room of enemies, not an exploration map.
