History

Ezlo the talking cap shrinks Link in The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, the complete 2004 adventure Flagship made with Nintendo. Towns and dungeons change scale at Minish size, and this quest is not a port of an earlier console Zelda.

Vaati's curse starts the trouble, and the Picori legend explains why the tiny people can help. A gust jar and four sword-clone copies open paths that exist only while Link is small.

Wii U and Nintendo 3DS later reissued this same cap-and-curse story. The dungeon map is its own Zelda, not a cut of Ocarina of Time and not a remake of A Link to the Past.
