The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker replaces Hyrule Field with an ocean and makes the King of Red Lions the overworld. Sailing is the journey, and conducting the wind is how the boat gets anywhere.
Eiji Aonuma directed the GameCube game in a cel-shaded style that was controversial before release and then became the thing players defended. Link conducts the Wind Waker baton to change the wind, sails between islands, and finds Tetra, a pirate who is not introduced as a princess.
The Forsaken Fortress, the Earth and Wind temples, and a late stretch of triforce charts are the parts people still time. Ganondorf's last scene, and the flooded kingdom under the waves, reframe the older legends instead of repeating them.
The Wind Waker HD on Wii U is a separate remaster page. This page is the GameCube voyage.
