History

Yakko, Wakko, and Dot share Konami's Animaniacs, and the 1994 Super Nintendo and Game Boy cartridges are not the same game. The Warner Bros. cartoon supplies the siblings, the water tower, and the slapstick, while each cart builds its own stages.

A mallet, a chase, and a movie-lot hazard fit the Super Nintendo run. The Game Boy edition cannot hold that same map, even though the three faces on the box match.

Treating the two cartridges as one game is the mistake. Yakko's commentary and the lot are the license; the stage lists diverge as soon as the hardware does.
