Doom Troopers: Mutant Chronicles sends armored soldiers down a run-and-gun drawn from the Mutant Chronicles tabletop setting. The shared opening word sits beside a different license from id Software's DOOM, and this Super Nintendo cartridge arrived in 1995.
Corporate factions and the Dark Legion's creatures define the targets, and the troopers carry heavy guns through side-view corridors. A second player can join the push, which fits a squad skirmish more than a lone patrol on Mars.
What the crosshair finds here are mutants from that science-fiction setting. The cartridge's title begins with a familiar syllable and then names Mutant Chronicles on purpose.
