History

Richter Belmont climbs a castle in Castlevania: Dracula X that is not the PC Engine CD's Rondo of Blood. Konami's Super Nintendo release in 1995 keeps the whip and the final duel with Dracula while drawing its own stages.

Item crashes and Maria Renard's route, both central to the CD game, do not chart this cartridge. The corridors are stricter, and the music is a fresh arrangement rather than the disc's audio tracks.

Players who hoped for a straight transfer of Rondo meet a shorter path to the throne room. Richter still ends the night against Dracula, yet every hall along the way was built for this Super Nintendo project.
