A new city of music-driven stages continues the brutal jumps, and Electronic Super Joy: Groove City is that follow-up. A new skyline of lasers still kills in one touch if the slide misses the beat.
Grooves, lasers, and sarcastic billboards fill a fresh skyline while the one-hit deaths stay. The soundtrack still tells the player when to slide, and ignoring it restarts the block.
Groove City's one-hit lasers also reached the successor console in 2014 with the sarcastic billboards intact. Players who finished the earlier game meet new geometry with the same demand to move on the beat.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
