Speed and a dragon heroine invite classic comparisons, and Freedom Planet is GalaxyTrail's fast side-scroller led by Sash Lilac. Carol's motorcycle and Milla's float are different engines on the same slope Lilac just dashed.
Slopes, loops, and a fuel meter for special moves push the pace past a careful walk. Carol and Milla join as playable allies with their own movement, so a rerun can feel like a different engine.
A successor-console port followed the computer release in 2014, Lilac's war included. The fight over a power source gives the dashes a plot without slowing the next hill.
