History

Known in full as FIFA International Soccer, FIFA (1993) is EA's first entry in that long soccer line. An isometric pitch, looking down on the grass at an angle, defined the early annuals.

National teams fill the match, and a through-ball reads from that elevated camera rather than from a sideline broadcast. Later editions kept the angle for a while before the series moved on.

International Superstar Soccer is Konami's separate approach to the sport. This isometric debut is the cartridge that opened EA's FIFA line.
