History

Film objectives turned a license into a shooter in GoldenEye 007. The Facility's checklist is stricter than a simple firefight. Plant the covert modem, photograph the scientist, or beat the clock out of the facility, and the gun is only one tool on the list.

Rare built the Nintendo 64 version in 1997, the one living rooms played, with split-screen maps and modes such as Slappers Only. The Dam, the Facility, and Natalya's escort sit beside Oddjob's low hat in multiplayer.

A later reimagining is a different product. Proximity mines and the watch magnet belong to this cartridge's invention of console aiming with a single stick.
