History
A witch's curse splits a family across glass in Hugo: The Evil Mirror, a 2002 stop on the long trail of the Danish television troll. Children had shouted moves at Hugo for years on a live show; this entry turns that troll into a side-view runner.
Mirrors are the stages' logic. Hugo hops, throws, and hunts for the relatives trapped behind the glass, while the curse is the reason the forest no longer behaves.
The series had already jumped from studio audiences to home screens many times before this one. What marks the mirror story is the rescue of Hugo's own household, not another round of the show's minigames.
