History

Will crosses ancient ruins in Illusion of Gaia, and his body changes when a fight starts. Quintet and Enix set this 1993 action role-playing game between Soul Blazer and Terranigma in a loose Super Nintendo trilogy.

The boy becomes Freedan, a dark knight, and later Shadow, whose strikes differ from the teacher's blade. Angkor Wat, the Incan ruins, and the Tower of Babel appear along that journey.

Soul Blazer frees captives to restore a world, and Terranigma rebuilds a surface. Illusion of Gaia sits in the middle, with Will's transformations as its combat trick.
