Button-mashing decides the sprint in International Track & Field 2000. Sydney's branding covers the same mash-the-button wrists. Konami's Olympic sequel is themed to the Sydney Games and follows the 1996 International Track & Field.
Swimming, throwing, and track events share a timing bar. A mash that peaks too early wastes the jump, which is the skill the series keeps testing.
Sydney's branding is the new coat. That earlier button-masher is the ancestor, and this edition moves the same wrists to a later Games.

No wider family is grouped for this title beyond the series list.
