History

Electronic Arts added split-screen to motorcycle combat in Road Rash II, the Genesis sequel to Road Rash from 1993 where a punch still counts during a heat. Punching a rival while you hold the racing line remains the point of every lap.

Two players can share one television on that Genesis version and swing between corners. Chains and clubs sit in the same violent toolkit as a well-timed fist, and a crashed rider has to run back to the bike.

A Game Boy Color edition carries the sequel's name without becoming that split-screen living-room match. Knocking someone off a bike and taking the finish is still the identity that separates this entry from a clean racing sim.
