History

Licensed riffs punch in between heats in Rock n' Roll Racing, the isometric combat race Silicon & Synapse made for Interplay. Cars drop weapons on a diagonal track, and the song stings play in the pause before the next planet's grid.

Silicon & Synapse, later known as Blizzard, built that mix. The 1993 Interplay release treats the soundtrack as part of the event, not as a menu that can be ignored.

Isometric cars, mines, and rockets make a clean first place hard to hold. The rock cues between events are as much a signature as the weapons.
