History

Behind the fighter is the whole view in Sky Destroyer, Taito's rail shooter locked to a World War II plane's tail. Enemy aircraft and ground targets rush toward the guns while the pilot never banks into a free sky.

Taito published that chase in 1985, and the same design was issued as an arcade machine as well as a Famicom cartridge. The home board is not a Western-born original with a new campaign.

Tracers and approaching wings are the threat, seen always from the rear seat of the chase. Players who know only a later console library are still looking at that Famicom and coin-op design.
