Viking barracks face Aztec temples and Chinese gates in Swords and Soldiers HD, the sharpened edition of Ronimo Games' side-scrolling strategy. The 2010 HD edition cleans up the WiiWare original, and the three armies still spend gold on a line that only marches one way.
Each culture brings its own units and a super weapon, so a Viking push does not play like an Aztec ritual or a Chinese artillery line. The camera stays on the flank, which is why a base on the left and a base on the right are the whole map.
Ronimo's upgrade is this HD picture of that flank war. The WiiWare original is the earlier, rougher telling of the same three armies.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
