Floors reshuffle and wands replace guns, and Ziggurat is Milkstone Studios' first-person crawl through a wizard's randomized dungeon. Mana spent on the wrong wand leaves the wizard empty when the portal room's brute arrives.
Rooms deal a layout of cultists and beasts, then a portal drops to the next stratum. Mana feeds the spells, and finding a stronger wand matters as much as aiming the one already equipped.
The computer original later appeared on the successor console in 2014, permadeath included. The unknown next floor is the loop, not a fixed corridor with one scripted boss.
