Eurocom's 40 Winks sends a child through dream worlds to rescue spirits called Winks, and it shipped on PlayStation in 1999 already. Pillow forts, nightmare bosses, and a cooperative second dreamer structure the rescue.
A Nintendo 64 version was cancelled at the time and only surfaced many years later. The released PlayStation game is the one players could buy in stores; the cartridge was the missing twin.
Winks are the collectible victims, not power-ups with a combat use. The cancellation is why a Nintendo 64 copy, when it appears, is a curiosity beside the PlayStation original.
