Hidden gates cut the lap in Beetle Adventure Racing. Paradigm's 1999 arcade racer uses Volkswagen's New Beetle, and the shortcuts are buried in barns, castles, and cliffs rather than painted as an obvious racing line.
Crates along the detour pay a risk that the main road does not. Australia received the same race as HSV Adventure Racing, a rename that kept the beetles and the secret doors.
Nitro pads still reward the bold line. The New Beetle's shape is the car; the discovery is the hole in the scenery.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
