Crouch walking and photo camouflage were added when Kojima Productions and Konami placed the jungle mission on the handheld as Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D in 2012. The lower screen keeps the map and the camouflage readout. The operation in that jungle is the same mission the earlier game told, rather than a plot written fresh for this hardware.
Snake still crawls, climbs trees, and swaps uniforms so a patrol looks past him. Point a camera at a surface and the picture can become a camouflage pattern. Close punches and the tranq pistol remain the quiet ways through a guard line.
Food that spoils, a cure list, and the stamina bar all survive the move onto two screens. Boss encounters still want a particular approach, whether that means outlasting a sniper or living through a chase on the water. Gear is checked on the touch screen so the view above stays clear.
Kojima Productions developed the mission, and Konami published this version of it. An alert still brings more soldiers, so a blown disguise costs more than one bar of health.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
The series list above is the whole family set in this catalog.
