History

Naked Snake crawls a jungle survival mission in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Hideo Kojima's 2004 stealth game began on PlayStation 2, and a 3DS version later carried that same mission.

Camouflage percentages, a cure menu for leeches and broken bones, and food caught in the grass all sit beside the guard cones. The Boss waits at the end of the Operation Snake Eater story, with the Cobra Unit hunting between those codec calls.

The 3DS release keeps the jungle mission rather than inventing a side chapter. Circle-pad camera control and the survival viewer are how that PlayStation 2 operation fits the handheld.
