History

You can eject from your machine and hijack an enemy one in Metal Warriors. LucasArts developed the side-view missions, and Konami published them in 1995. On foot, the pilot is small enough to climb into another cockpit.

A captured frame brings its own guns and its own jump. Staying inside the starting mech ignores the tool the stages keep offering. The pilot outside the armor is fragile beside the machines.

LucasArts and Konami are an unusual pairing on a Super Nintendo box. One developed the missions and the other published them. The side view makes rooftops and jumps part of the shooting.

Learn which enemy frames are worth stealing. Their weapons are not clones of yours. The hijack is the reason to leave the cockpit at all.
