Nemesis hunts Jill through a burning Raccoon City in Resident Evil 3, Capcom's shorter companion to the second remake. The 2020 retelling keeps Jill Valentine at the center of the 1999 story.
Carlos Oliveira, a subway escape, and the bioweapon that will not stay down are the beats this version keeps. The remake is tighter than the police-station game beside it, trading some of the old city's optional streets for a chase.
The 1999 original introduced the pursuer in a fixed-camera city. This retelling keeps Jill, Nemesis, and Carlos, and it assumes the player already met Leon and Claire's station.
