History

Konami posted bounty targets between towns in Sunset Riders, a Wild West run-and-gun from 1991 already. Four players can ride in the arcade cabinet, while the Super Nintendo version trims that posse to two.

Steve and his fellow bounty hunters shoot through saloons, trains, and cattle stampedes. A wanted poster names the next boss, so the towns are a checklist of rewards rather than one endless desert.

The home version is a port, not a new license. The posters, the two-player limit on the Super Nintendo, and the four-player cabinet are the split players still mention.
