History

Pack-In-Video and Natsume's Harvest Moon runs a farming life on a clock of seasons. Crops, livestock, and town relationships fill the days of this Super Nintendo original from 1996, the cart later handhelds in the series looked back to.

A spring seed dies if summer is neglected, and an unmilked cow changes the money for tools. Festivals and talks with the valley's neighbors turn the calendar into a social season as well as a harvest.

Watering cans and marriage in the handheld sequels grow from this daily loop. The Super Nintendo farm is where soil, animals, and neighbors first shared that clock.
