History

Dino Dini's Kick Off is the Anco soccer game whose speed on the Amiga and the Atari ST made it a rival to later Sensible Soccer. A Game Boy version exists, and the computer original dates to 1989.

The ball leaves the foot quickly, so a pass can race ahead of the player who kicked it. That pace, more than a televised camera, is what Amiga clubs argued about.

Sensible Soccer arrived afterward with its own overhead style. Kick Off is Dini's earlier, faster Anco game, with a handheld port among its offshoots.
