History

Dave Akers designed Klax for Atari Games, catching colored tiles off a conveyor and stacking them into lines. Ports reached almost every home format of the period, and the cabinet dates to 1989.

A tile that misses the paddle falls away, and three of one color in a row vanish for points. The belt speeds up until the paddle at the bottom is a frantic sorter.

The arcade stack is the original. Game Boy and Game Boy Color editions are among the many ports of Akers's conveyor.
